Some of my Quilts #9 - Owl Quilt

This is the ninth post in a series of posts about my pre blog quilts.  Check out the rest of them here.

I made this quilt as a display for Spotlight when I worked there.  It uses a panel that we had in stock at the time.  I do like the occasional panel as it allows me to work on my quilting skills without worrying about ruining a pieced quilt top.

You can see more of the quilting in the photo above.  I really put a lot of detail into it so I could do something different.

As you can see from the label I finished this quilt in two days.  It was actually the second quilt I finished over the Easter weekend in 2012.  In order to finish it within the two days (and not to drive myself crazy) I bound this quilt by machine.  It's not the best job ever but it got the job done.
