Christmas Sewing - Whimsy House

November 28, 2015

So I got stuck into a bit of my Christmas sewing the other day.  As I've mentioned before I have no nieces to sew for however I do have a few girls I get to sew for at this time of year.

I first saw Whimsy Houses on Instrgram by Heather of Quilt Story and fell in love.  This is my first one and there a few things I intend to change but I'm very happy with it as a first attempt.

There is a little girl hidden behind the door, but I have to keep some things a surprise for Christmas :).

I'm also working on a mini quilt for a swap & my Christmas day dress.  Lets hope I actually get some time to sew in the upcoming weeks!

  1. What a cute house! Add a string or ribbon to the roof peak, and you'd have an adorable ornament. (In case the recipient could use one or you want to make more as ornaments.)

    1. Thanks Mary! It's actually about 8inches square and 2 inches deep so maybe a little too big for an ordaments :)
